My Story
I was born and raised right here on Oahu — lived here my whole life. Hawaii isn't just where I work, it's home. I started sharpening about 4 years ago and fell in love with it immediately. There's something deeply satisfying about taking a dull, forgotten blade and bringing it back to life.
I love Hawaii, and I love what I do. Every knife that comes through my shop gets treated like it's my own — whether it's a $20 kitchen knife or a $400 Japanese gyuto. I match the original bevel, work through multiple grits, and finish every edge with care. Depending on the knife, I use whetstones, my angle guided system, or the low speed belt grinder — whatever the blade needs. Your blade's integrity matters to me. I go out of my way to keep the steel cool. No shortcuts, no rushing.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes — we're an appointment-only shop. This way we can give your tools our full, undivided attention and have everything ready when you arrive. Just text or call 808-386-3286 to schedule — texting is totally fine if that's easier.
How long does sharpening take?
Most items are done the same day. If you have a large batch, we'll give you a realistic timeframe when you drop off. Rush requests are accommodated whenever possible.
What's the minimum charge?
No minimum! Bring as many or as few items as you like. We offer bulk discounts when you bring multiple items.
Do you sharpen serrated knives?
Yes! We sharpen serrated bread knives, steak knives, and other serrated blades. The process is different from straight-edge sharpening, but we restore them to cut cleanly.
Can I mail my knives from the mainland?

Do you offer pickup and delivery for businesses?
Yes — for commercial orders of 20+ items, we offer free pickup and dropoff anywhere on Oahu. We also set up recurring service plans so your tools are always sharp.
